Re: Minwax Ployshade Technique

I tried my local Lowes, and the lady couldn't figure out how to special order it.  I was in a hurry so I decided to try somewhere else.  I haven't been to the Ace Hardware store yet, but that seems to be the place most people find it.

Re: Minwax Ployshade Technique

Well I've finally found some Tudor color Polyshade (found it at Ace) and tried it on my Barbarian army.  I was very happy with the results.  The only issue I have with it is that it makes them a little shiny, even though it is a satin finich.  I noticed in an earlier post in this thread that Mike had used a dull coat finish after the polyshade.  What kind did you use?  Did you spray it on or use a brush?  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

I use the brush on kind.. but give the min wax about 24 to really dry. I'd like to see pics.

Re: Minwax Ployshade Technique

Thanks Mike.  I was planning on sending you pics for possible use with the Ancients.  I'll also include some terrain pics if you want to put them on the site.  By the way what brand of dull coat did you use and where did you get it?  Thanks again.

Re: Minwax Ployshade Technique

I usually use the testor brand, but last night I saw Jake's Orcs and he uses a Walmart Spray style called "Crystal Clear" I am going to look for it when I get back from teh show, because his looked amazing.
