Mighty Armies Stronghold - Castle
Modified By outposteagle on 12/18/2008 5:38:00 AM)

Hi Guys,

I thought I'd post some pictures of my latest project.  I recently purchased some silicone molds from Hirst Arts.  I used them to cast some blocks with Hydrostone (Plaster of Paris & Cement mixture),  then I designed and built this stronghold for Mighty Armies.  It is based on the standard 4" x 6" base.

That's awesome Mark!

How long did it take you to cast the bricks for this baby?

Very nice work.

Ben.

Re: Mighty Armies Stronghold / Castle

No problem, Mike.  Just say the word .

It took 2 or 3 days to cast all of the bricks.  Not too bad really.  Each brick is 1/2" high, 1/2" wide, and vary in length from 1/2" to 3".   They are kind of like legos except you have to glue and paint them.  The mold has a variety of sizes and has maybe 12 or 15 seperate blocks.  It takes about 45 minutes from mixing to removal for each cast.  I am just about finished with a dice tower and an 4 inch round tower / stronghold.  I'll post pics of those pretty soon.

Thanks for the complements, guys.
