Re: A tip for terrain and basing

Dave, here is a picture of some Macedonian Pikemen where I used some static grass.  I put down some scenice glue (basically watered down PVA glue) then sprinkled on some static grass.  One thing I didn't do with this unit that probably would have helped the grass stand up more was to gently blow on the grass right after applying it.  I found this tip after I applied it, so I will try it next time.

Re: A tip for terrain and basing

Well done sir.  I love the look of static grass compared to green flock.

Re: A tip for terrain and basing

For quite some time I have had the idea of an early imperial roman army that I am going to build "someday" in my mind.  It was this period, for me, that attracted me to wargaming to begin with.  Anyway to that end I have a small bit of old limestone or ancient concrete that I found in the grass next to a roman fort in Germany in 98.  I have had it in mind to use bits of pieces of this rock to decorate the bases of my future EIR army.  As for why I've waited 10 years to build my army, well, seems like there was always something else coming up.
