Does anyone know if the MA basic rules pdf is the same as the old Mongoose Publishing rules? I have the old rules already but I didn't know if Rebel had updated the ruleset yet.

Yes, the PDF for MA is the same rules that Mongoose had. There is also a different version called Mighty Armies: Ancients. There are some modifications in process for both, however.

I had heard about the upcoming changes but I wasn't sure if they had made any since getting the game from Mongoose. I just finished assembling a couple of armies that I bought a couple of years ago so now I just need to give it a push around to see how it works.
