New Spell 
As I mentioned in some of my previous posts I've slightly tweaked MA to fit my gaming desires. I found this spell in a D20 rpg book and I've converted it over to my MA game for practioners of dark mage or necromancy. Here it is:

Spell: Undying Loyalty
Spellbook: Dark & Necromancy
Casting Cost: 1 MP
Casting Time: ---

If successful the target enemy unit becomes enchanted and upon it's death can be summoned up as undead servants of the caster, acting as normal with no combat rating penalties but with a reduced movement to 3". The risen unit reenters the game on the casters board edge.

The targeted unit may make a will save against this spell by rolling higher than the caster.

WOW! The more I thought about this the more I like it.

What do you think about releasing a PDF Spell book? Something that you can use in advance type rules. It would focus more on the casters and the Armies would be more of a Protection thing.... I may try a few of these in today's game.

Thoughts?

I like the idea. If you grew it into something like an "Mighty Armies Arcanum" or Advanced Arcanum and made it into an additional supplement that could be a pdf purchase or an actual book purchase. More spells and magic items, would be great. Another item that I would like to see is a magic weapon of some sort that might add to the users roll or reduce the targets defense or some such. Just my thoughts.

I like having more spells for the shaman, but I do think they is an upper limit for balanced play.  Too many spells could cause confusion.  I don't know what that upper limit would be, but I think having 100 different spells could take away from the basic combat of the game.  Maybe not, but that is my first thoughts on it
