Ben,

I am very glad it was not just me that was wondering about how this all works out and fits into the cost structure.  I have noticed that some of the prebuilt forces have "discounted" costs or stats that are different from those of the DIY core status for a given type of unit, but most games have this type of thing.  I also realized that after purchasing the Ancients edition it has more unit archetypes than the fantasy edition and I think I may have to use a few of those when building fantasy armies to simplify things a bit.  All in all I have a very positive impression of the rules so far and look forward to some games at Nashcon (or sooner).

This is a Typo :) We had planned for Summon II but changed it.

Or is it because they are worth more than 3AP, meaning that you MUST pay for Summoned II as a penalty?

Also, their movement is listed at 3", but in the army builder, the movement is 4". Is this a typo?

PS. You mentioned the Mage codex/book, is this something that will follow this base game quickly or will there be a wait? Also, are their other books with more specials planned? I have lots of ideas that are brewing... :-)

We are hoping soon. We ill try and launch the mage book with Some spells cards and More.... Yes, we have alot of different books planned.

Jeff,

Some of the older, orignal armoies do have the discounted stats and We will be working to get those brought into line :)

So instead of summonned II (2aps), I was thinking since they are a large group give the shrooms horde for 1ap and keep the 7ap total cost or would a mostrous summonned horde be too powerful?
