Magic Items

Any thoughts on adding magical items such as talismans, rings or weapons to the army lists? I thought that a talisman or other arcane artefact might be able to add a +1 to the casters spell die rolls. Maybe add a point or two to the spell casters AP.

That may be a good add on for the Shaman unit in Fantasy. Other current add ons are mainly for the "fighting" units. It may be good for the Shamans to have an add on of their own. We will discuss this in our playtesting for MA: Fantasy.

I like this idea. Actually, for a little fun RPGish type, maybe we could have a trinket or staff or something sculpted that you could actually equip your Shaman with. You could get them for free at conventions or with purchase.. just thinking out loud here

Good idea, Mike. Maybe a treasure chest or something similar that could easily be placed on the Shaman's stand. It could give a +1 to all Magic dice rolls. May need to add +2 to the AP cost for something that may be pretty powerful.

That sounds neat but even just an item that existed only on paper as in the rulebook and/or army list would to me be an interesting concept.
