I read somewhere that you guys were working on some build your own army rules? How is that going? When will we see such fare?
Mighty Armies: Ancients will have a build your own army section, and it is in beta testing right now. It should be very close to release. RebelMike can tell you a more difinitive timeline, but it should be pretty soon. It is going to create a lot of options for some new and exciting games.
Then once Ancients finishes testing, Fantasy goes into testing (that also has a BYA system too).
As far as a timeline... no idea though sorry. RebelMike could perhaps be more helpful.
All I know is that it will be worth it that's for sure!
Ben.
Thanks!
I'm currently wrapping up a seven-year rpg campaign with a group of good friends and we're planning on doing some serious miniatures gaming for awhile afterward. We've accumulated tons of minis from past wargaming and the long-running rpg campaigns we've had, and money is short. So we're looking for rules that allow us to use what we've already got. At least until the buy new stuff itch kicks in.
Sounds like the new Mighty Armies rules will be great for you guys. And you don't really need to rebase your figures. The standard basing for Mighty Armies is 25mm X 50mm for small units and 50mm X 50mm for large units. One of the nice things about Mighty Armies is that you do not have to use the standard basing. All stats are unit based, so as long as your bases are the same size as your opponent, you're all set.
