sounds good think this will work.  I take it that you were using 4 stand groups?  We found using the 4 stands we had more massacres.  What do you suggest for pikes?  My buddy suggested we mount them long ways with a 1 inch frontage and 2 inch depth so we could bring the fighting score of all 4 stands into the combat so heavy infantry with fighting of 5 would add up to 20 and no support of course.  He also suggesteed we do knights not heavy cav the same way units such as catafracts and medievil knights.  What do you think of this suggestion and also what about the big stands use 4 stand groups or what?

The narrow but deep basing reminds me of Warmaster. A good thing actually, as I like Warmaster. WM is probably what I would be playing if MA were not around.

I think it should work well for Pikes, Knights etc as it allows them to be flanked more easilly, but do a concentrated frontal attack
