Curious in regards to basing.  I prefer to use metal bases that will hold down to magnetic trays and was looking at the old Mighty Army Rules and they use 25mm x 50mm and 50mm x 50mm bases.  Will the new version of Mighty Armies also use this same size base?

If the base size is not changing and I plan to order some metal bases from War Games Accessories do you feel there will be an issue if I order 2" x 1" and 2" x 2" bases since those are the closest they carry to 25mm x 50mm and 50mm x 50mm bases?

Thanks Mike.  I thought I remebered hearing you say that, but figure if I am going to do some Mighty Army forces I migth as well do them on the correct bases.  That said, I figure the metal bases I am looking at are only about 1 or 2 mm off, so that shoudl work just fine I hope.

Oh, almost forgot to ask, but do the army deals from Rebel include the plastic bases or do the bases need to be purchased seperately?

I use 60mm x 30mm and 60 x 60 (so I can use them for DBA or Impetvs - I admit it, I use other rules), and the rules work fine. Grant it, I was using two infantry heavy armies (Normans and Saxons). I've thought that if I every played, say Marian Roman vs. Numidian with all their light horse, I might want to make the board a little wider. Proportionally, I should make the board 3'9" x 2'6". But that seems a bit fiddly. Maybe just 4' x 3'.

Anyone use different base and/or board size?
