New to Mighty Armies

I just ordered the PDF rule book to use for Crusader and Arab armies. All the DBX stuff is really favorless and bland, so I was hopeing to use MA for Ancients, as I have heard so much about it on TMP.

Would it be possible to get the Point Value System to try out? Also, what are the chances of using MA for an Early Renaissance armies? Maybe counting the shot elements as crossbows? Finally, is there any idea when the rule book will be released?

Hey There and Welcome!

If all goes well this week, We'll have an open BETA of MA: Ancients next week and I'll make sure you get a copy to test and play. Once the Open BETA has been played/tested, I hope to release it.. soon :)

As far as other Eras... MA:Ancients is basically to 500 AD. We will have a Dark Ages/Medieval MA that is being worked on right now and a MA:Horse and Musket that is almost done. It is basically a base MA ruleset tweaked to thecorresponding ERA.

Thanks for the reply. I will pick up so Late Romans and enemies this weekend to try out. A good excuse to buy more figures! I really look forward to playing.
